Memes

I'm just a digital hoarder and save things I come accross. None of these are made by me.

Resources

Websites I relied on to build my website! I used way more than these but I decided to only list the heavy hitters for now.

petrapixel PetraPixels - These tutorials saved me so much work, especially the 11ty stuff
AnEmptyBliss - Great tips for beginners on the indie web. I use a few of these resources still.
Rarebit- A tool for hosting your own webcomic
PNGs for Snails - This person cuts out and hoards little pngs for folks to use
Transparent Textures Transparent patterns for website building!

Media Recomendations

I wouldn't recomend it if I didn't love it.

it stings a little though - Miki

Fun, goofy little animated music video.

The Many Deaths of Laila Starr - Ram V & Filipe Andrade

God of death get's fired after the human who will discover imortality is born. Maybe she can stop him before she becomes irrelevant? The art is fucking incredible, and I thought the story was really sweet.

SNOOZE QUEST - Vewn

DID YOU CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY TODAY?

Erghad Afewo - Tinariwen

Stunning visuals! The musicians are from Algeria, and have been around since the 70's. Wikipedia says they are the pioneers of "desert blues".

Majora's Mask

My favorite Zelda game, and maybe favorite game in general? I swear it's not just the nostalgia talking, it's a really good game. Each mask has it's own little power/special use and it's really fun to collect them. Plus the side-character quests are charming and make the world feel full. Loooveee this game.

It's Lonely at the Center of the Earth - Zoe Thorogood

A type of self obsession that tells you that you are the worst person in the world.

The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at All - Sumiko Arai

Self explanatory. I loved the artwork in this. (W/W)

BARBAROUS - Hirsh & Ota

Magic School drop out finds herself entangled with an odd new crowd. (M/W)

Baldur's Gate 3

I never played DnD, but I hear Baldur's Gate 3 is pretty similar. The mechanics are really fun, I love experimenting with different fight strategies. The story is solid, not my favorite but still pretty good. The sheer amount of fun makes up for the weak points.

AU REVOIR JÉRÔME!

Man, I love weird afterlife imagery.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Fun adventure game with a beautiful world and interesting characters. I like that even though it's one of those games where certain decisions give different outcomes, the main character isn't a blank slate. Geralt has his own personality, and these are decisions he could make given his experiences. The Blood and Wine dlc was sooo fun, and had killer music.

Panna a Netvor

1978 Czech Beauty and the Beast. Lovely gothic sets, interesting version of the beast.

Lady of the Shard - Gigi Digi

Visual novel. A goddess and her devotee fall in love. (W/W)

Witch Hat Atelier - Kamome Shirahama

Just.Read.It. This is the most beautiful manga I have ever read, and the story is phenominal. It explores themes/topics of creativity, fear, academia, technology... It's really good, just trust me.

Veil - Kotteri

This is a weird one (in a good way). The story(?) follows a policeman (eww) and a blind woman with little peeks into their lives. There is very little context given to the characters, and there isn't really a plot. It never explicitly states that they are in love, they don't even kiss. But the little vignettes paint the picture of a very intimate relationship. It was sweet. And the ART, oh the art! Stunning. Like old fashion illustrations.

Tiger, Tiger - Petra Erika Nordlund

Noble lady pretends to be her brother so she can sail seas and complete her research. (Multiple couples - queer)

Fallout - New Vegas

Fallout is a series about a world ravaged by nuclear destruction, and the people trying to survive it. New Vegas is my favorite in the series. I think a big part of it is I grew up in the Mojave Desert and I feel a sort of kinship with stories about the region.
